I went to replace the full logbook today. When I removed the rock
covering the hiding place, I found van Gogh wrapped in the embrace of
a copperhead snake. I managed to flip out the letterbox with my
walking stick (the closest thing to a 10-ft pole on hand). I didn't
care to wait around for the varmint to vacate the premises. Snake
warnings will be added to the clues and I will replace the box soon.
